Junior Sous Chef – Blackpool

Our client is a busy, well know establishment on the Fylde Coast. Currently they are looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef to join the brigade in their busy and successful establishment.

Role Duties:

* A competent Junior Sous Chef who can assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in running a busy kitchen
* Take lead where required, and run the kitchen in Sous / Head Chefs absence
* Encourage a motivated and positive team
* Oversee other kitchen members at all times, and delegate when necessary
* Carry out any training required
* Cooperate with the Sous Chef and ensure all food is produced and served to the highest quality
* Ensure smooth and organised service

Skills and Qualities Desired:

* Previous experience working within a similar fast paced kitchen, producing quality food on a consistent basis
* A proven track record working within renowned restaurants or hotels
* A Junior Sous Chef who is qualified in food preparation and cooking
* Understanding in costing, menu planning and stepping up to the next level in the absence of the Sous Chef
* An influential leader who can guide junior members within the kitchen
* A Junior Sous Chef who is creative, passionate and can work well under pressure
* Be motivated to grow and develop with the business

Straight shifts on a rota basis to include weekends. 11.00am till approx 8.00pm Mondays to Thursdays, 11.00am till later on Fridays to Sundays.
